dc.description.abstractDit onderzoeksproject betreft de actualisatie van de indeling van het Vlaamse grondgebied in ‘verstedelijkte, randstedelijke en landelijke gebieden’ op het niveau van de statistische sectoren, zoals initieel uitgewerkt in het Ruimterapport 2018 en geactualiseerd in het Ruimterapport 2021 gepubliceerd door het Departement Omgeving. Deze opdeling heeft niet tot doel om direct toepasbaar te zijn voor het ruimtelijk beleid, maar fungeert als analyseniveau om uitspraken over verschillende thematische indicatoren in een ruimtelijke context te kunnen kaderen.

onderzoek.abstract.translationThis research project concerns the updating of the division of the Flemish territory into 'urbanized, peri-urban and rural areas' at the level of the statistical sectors, as initially elaborated in the Spatial Report 2018 and updated in the Spatial Report 2021 published by the Department of Environment and Spatial Development. This division is not intended to be directly applicable to spatial policy, but functions as a level of analysis to frame statements about various thematic indicators in a spatial context.
